Oppositional Defiant Disorder Parenting Mistakes: Anger

  1. Why are we labelling with “your odd child? Your odd child…your odd child…” Have you ever heard of the Law of Perpetual Transmutation? The truth is that the only thing important to a child is what’s important to him. Period.

A child does not wake up in the morning with a goal to make his mother angry. Children learn by example, but they learn more what they’re taught on purpose. The reason that a parent gets angry is because they are operating with backward parenting tools that have been taught for the last 60-70 years or so – reactive parenting.

If you are trying to control anyone’s behavior, you’ll have an oppositional defiant child. As soon as you create a win-win environment and teach them to earn their own privileges with love and guidance, you’ll have no need to get angry. Neither will your child. And if he does, well don’t we all? Have a plan. Where can your boy be angry for a few minutes?

  2. Yeah so when your child is being a brat just, smile & sing a merry tune πŸŽΆπŸ˜ƒπŸŽΆ this has a different reactions, some good others not so good.⚠
